The Rate Limit

You wrote a god-tier 16-thread parallel script that can knock out a month's deliverables tonight, but it will drain your entire team's shared API quota. Do nothing and you max it out; everyone else gets 502 Bad Gateway errors and weeps in the morning. Pull the lever and your script throttles to a single thread; everyone else coasts, but you're up all night doing the work by hand. What do you do?
